It’s the first Sunday in December, which in Baltimore (at least for the past 40 years) that means it’s the annual Mayor’s Christmas Parade, which runs through my particular neighborhood in the city. I wrote a lot about the parade last year. I don’t have much else to say about the parade this year except that it’s still awesome and still full of the most random collection of things ever. Laura Lippman was this year’s parade marshall, though I only managed to snap a picture of the sign on the car she was riding in and then the back of her head. This year some of the highlights were randomly dressed furry people who were chasing each other around and some Baltimore car club featuring a bunch of cars on hydraulics. The Boumi Temple Shriners on all their mini-vehicles are always a highlight too. You can see some of the fun for yourself below.
